House in Ashfield

This project is a double-storey dwelling comprising of 4-bedrooms with 2-bathroom with a build-up of 314 m² designed in house by Schearar Developments for a private owner in Ashfield, Bassendean (WA).

Elements

The project incorporates a theatre on the upper floor, with a spacious balcony that attaches also to the master suite. The house also features a fireplace in a common wall to the living room and kitchen.

The house is built with Energy Efficiency in mind hence the deviation from the conventional brick and mortar-built concept that has been dominating the Western Australian construction methodology in the past.

To add to this deviation was further enhanced with the need to change due to the changing market of material and labour in the brick-and-mortar trade. We at Schearar Group decided to make that bold move hence the beginning of the use of our Schearar Eco Panel for the construction.

Our Panel has all the Australian conformance i.e., Fire, Acoustics and Thermal qualities and this results in achieving a higher Energy Rating required for the R6 rating. For this dwelling, we are able to achieve an R7.6 rate.

The use of our Schearar Eco Panel that is a green eco product is also a good sustainable material and reduces the carbon footprint.

Over and above the points noted, the speed of construction and more importantly cost is more attractive than the Conventional Built. Finally, it creates a very habitable living space for the inhabitant from the point of Acoustics and Thermal comfort for the Summer and Winter Days.
