Elements
The construction method used for this project was a steel-framed structure constructed over pad footing using high tension bolts and chemical anchors.
The structure is then sealed using 12 mm CFC (Compressed Fibre Cement) externally and Schearar Eco Panels internally.
The floors are cast over Sacrificial Formwork and thereafter covered with the required carpeting in the rooms and tiles in the Living, Kitchen and Wet Areas.
The inspiration for this construction method again started with the desire to build a concept achieving a higher rating than the required norm of R6 rating and to move away from the conventional bricks and mortar or the tilt-up concrete panels.
The method adopted here is envisaged to achieve a rating of an average of R8.
